Aqua Clear Water Systems offers a free kit in the areas we serve. The kit and analysis are free. You pay shipping at checkout.
It checks chlorine, pH, hardness, alkalinity, iron, copper, nitrate and nitrite. You mail your sample back, and a water specialist calls you with the results.
What this kit doesn't check
It doesn't test for bacteria, arsenic, lead or radon, and it isn't a certified lab test.
When to use a certified lab
Use a certified lab if you're buying a home, if someone in your home is pregnant or has a weakened immune system, or if you're worried about health risks. Your county health department can tell you about local options.
